Dear Students,
Today we are living in a society known as “Knowledge based Society” and higher education becomes a key driver in creating skilled and knowledgeable human resources to meet the forthcoming challenges of the changing world. Promoting Access to Higher Education to the students, especially students in rural and tribal areas is therefore the need of the hour to promote social change and socio-economic development of the rural India.
Realizing the prominent role of higher education in contemporary society, our College has been playing a pivotal role in rural and tribal areas of the Gadchandur, Korpana Tehsil to facilitate access to quality higher education to the rural, tribal, backward and girl students with the avowed object of empowering the marginalized people through education. Our efforts are not only confined to the knowledge dissemination within the four walls of class rooms, but extended to involving the students in rural and community development activities through N.S.S and extension activities, which will enable the students responsive to ground realities of the society. Through undertaking sports and cultural activities; N.S.S and extension programmes; Value oriented and skill development training through certificate courses and YCMOU programmes, the college has been striving hard to contribute to the holistic development of the students. With the active guidance and support of our benevolent management and devoted staff, we make every effort to develop academic excellence and social commitment amongst our students. I appeal to the all the existing and prospective students to comprehend the vision, culture, academic ambience and endeavours of the college and to join in our efforts with zeal and enthusiasm to achieve the institutional goals.
