Department Of Economics

Department of Economics is one of the oldest departments established simultaneously with SharadraoPawar College in 1993. Since its inception, the Department has been offering undergraduate courses in Economics.

Through this Economics study board, projects have been implemented on competitive examination guidance, group discussion sessions and conferences.Economics courses of Gondwana University include different Theory’sof Price, Money, Income & Employment and the study of Indian Economy. Working as Head of Department My teaching service has been twenty five years and I have worked as a member of Economics.

I have served as a member of the Board of Studies in Economics and Chairman of the Board of Economics, Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. Since the beginning, students have been opting for Economics as a subject of study and B.A. There are good number of students for economics. For the session 2022-23, part one is 93, B. A. part two 85 and B. A. final year 74 students. Many textbooks and journals are available in the library. Economics books and magazines and journals are available for students.

For evaluation of the students Unit Test and Model Exam are conduct by the political department for weaker students, extra remedial classes are taken bythe Department in every year. Mentor and Mentee guidance conducted by the department and try to develop student's skill and mentality for development of the student.
